Anzac Day 2024

Observed on 25 April each year, Anzac Day was originally devised to honour the members of the Australian and New Zealand Army Corps (ANZAC) who served in the Gallipoli Campaign, their first engagement in the First World War (1914–1918).

ANZAC Day continues to be recognised as a day of remembrance and recognition of those who have served or continue to serve in Australian or New Zealand armed forces and remains one of the most important national occasions for both countries.

ANZAC Day is a celebration of mateship, a coming together in unity against a common enemy, a recognition of the ANZAC spirit and an opportunity to reflect on the sacrifices made by those who served for our country.

β€œThey shall grow not old, as we that are left grow old:
Age shall not weary them, nor the years condemn.
At the going down of the sun and in the morning
We will remember them”.
